This was one of my favorite stores in the River Market until last week. I had some friends visiting from out of town and wanted to show them around a few of my favorite local shops. When we arrived at Dutch Flowers, a man was standing directly in the entrance watering plants. The hose was stretched across the walkway and water was spraying around the entrance. At first, we waited patiently, assuming he would pause for a moment so we could enter. Instead, he looked at us and continued watering. After waiting a bit longer, I politely asked if we could get by. His response was, βWell, I guess if you want,β but he still didnβt stop watering, move the hose, or step aside. One member of our group is pregnant, so navigating around a hose and standing water created an unnecessary tripping hazard. As we walked past, I made a frustrated comment under my breath. In response, the man came through the door yelling profanity, telling us to get out of the store, calling us offensive names, and attempting to escalate the situation in front of customers. The young woman working at the counter was very apologetic and handled the situation professionally. She mentioned that this was not the first

If I could rate 0/5 I would. I witnessed the owner be so disrespectful to an employee. Iβve never heard someone yell and cuss so loudly at an employee. Iβm not sure what the employee did. However, no one deserves to be treated that way, no matter the circumstances. I will not support a business that shows that level of disrespectful behavior.

I feel like I could have browsed for hours. It just kept going on and on. It was a fun part of our City Market morning. A fun surprise of finding stones, crystals, incense and tarot cards in the back. My language.

Great garden shop with an eclectic mix of pieces for home and garden! Plants, pots, garden items, books, gifts, a really nice store. Some of the items may be a little pricey, but overall they offer a great variety. And the refrigerated room with roses, smelled divine! I loved the Dutch references throughout the store

This store is really really cool. They carry a decent selection of houseplants, flowers, and planting accessories. However, plants aside, the amount of intriguing house knickknacks, decorations, and accessories is where this store really shines. There's a lot of cute and quirky goods there, and there's even a respectable selection of 'witchy'/metaphysical products to buy. The store itself feels somewhat cluttered in certain places but it's totally worth checking out every nook and cranny just to marvel at everything. Prices are alright, probably comparable to other competitors in the area. Service was pretty friendly and generally leaves people to their own business, but was willing to answer questions if anyone had any. This store is a must-see at City Market, if only for the sheer amount of interesting items they carry. I'd definitely recommend this shop to tourists and locals alike.
